Joanna Hardy

Centre Director

I have been a qualified teacher and tutor for over 35 years, working across Key Stages 1, 2 & 3 in both the independent and state sectors, even spending time working abroad, throughout my rewarding career. I am committed to supporting each child in the most positive and effective ways possible, enabling them to make progress and to enjoy every stage of their learning.

I have tutored extensively for common entrance, at both 11+ and 13+, achieving excellent results in a friendly and creative atmosphere. My experience spans a broad range of children, ages and subjects, always focusing on how each child learns and the needs of their next steps in life. I love what I do and I strive to foster a love of learning, a sense of resilience, and a drive to achieve well.

I am now seeking ways to support children across Yorkshire, and beyond, in achieving what is necessary to aid their transition to the next stage of their education, to smooth the path for any child needing support and guidance, or to alleviate anxiety about challenging work. Additionally, I aim to support alternative provisions such as home education or bespoke curriculum design.

I am excited for the next stage in our journey and look forward to the challenges ahead.

Centre Director

I am a qualified primary teacher with over 10 years teaching and tutoring experience. I have worked in state and independent schools as well as overseas, teaching children in their second language. My experience spans from EYFS to Key Stage 3, I am fully phonics trained and enjoy nurturing a love of reading and writing at an early stage.

I tutor a range of ages, subjects and I ensure I get to know children individually to tailor my teaching to their needs. I truly love to teach and support everyone to reach their full potential. I believe communication is key and will ensure to support both pupils and parents alike.

My goal is to help foster confidence and a true love of learning. As a team, we would like to expand into supporting home education, providing workshops and curriculum and revision pack writing.
